“I believe they were in town visiting relatives but the mom is the one that initiated the call,” said Detective Chris Byers.

Byers says someone dropped the kids off, unharmed, at the Swannanoa substation for the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office.

An arrest warrant indicates that one of the suspects paid another woman $20 to drive, according to WLOS.

Natasha Cantrell of Gainesville, Ga. is charged with second-degree kidnapping and child abduction. Trena Weaver, of Asheville, is charged with misdemeanor child abuse, according to WLOS.
