NEW KENT COUNTY, Va. – A mail truck caused some traffic tie-ups along Route 60 in New Kent County Sunday afternoon.

Photos from the scene near Bottoms Bridge show letters scattered over the highway.

State police said the mishap took place when one a straps on the truck snapped. That caused part of the truck’s racking to fall out – along with the mail.

All of the mail was collected and put back onto the truck.

There is no word if any letters to Santa Claus were impacted.
