Man wounded in Northside shooting

RICHMOND, Va. — Richmond police are investigating a fifth shooting in a violent weekend after a man is found wounded in the city’s Northside.

Officers responded to reports of a person down in the 2400 block of North Avenue around 12:45 am Sunday morning.

Police found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.

Paramedics took him to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The shooting is one of five that took place in just over a 24 hour period that left 3 people dead and 3 wounded.

Investigators haven’t announced any arrests in this or any other of the cases.
