RICHMOND, Va. — It took firefighters more than two hours to bring an overnight house fire under control in Richmond. Firefighters were called to the 3300 block of Hanes Avenue at about 3:25 a.m. Wednesday after a neighbor saw smoke coming from the home.
When firefighters arrived at the home, near East Brookland Park Boulevard and Meadowbridge Road, the home was engulfed in flames.
Firefighters have not yet said whether anyone was inside of the home at the time of the fire. The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
