DES MOINES, Iowa — The Iowa Department of Transportation hopes to spread its safety message using the Force.
Ahead of the release of the movie “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” the DOT is using its interstate billboards to remind drivers about aggressive and distracted driving.
Five different messages were displayed across the state on Monday, all with a Star Wars theme. The DOT says it had so many great suggestions it couldn’t choose just one.
The DOT is also sharing the messages with other states. They’ll also be seen on billboards in Utah, Arizona, and Colorado.
CBS 6 reached out to VDOT to show them the signs, and asked if there was a chance we could see them on Virginia roadways.
