HANOVER COUNTY, Va. — A Hanover Sheriff’s Deputy did not sit idly by after several mailboxes were knocked off their posts along West Patrick Henry Road in western Hanover.

“When several of the elderly victims expressed concern about not being able to receive their mail, Deputy Turpin contacted his fellow employee, Deputy Robert Hill, whom he knew was quite handy,” the Hanover Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook. “Deputy Hill retrieved his own tools and supplies and responded to the scene to repair the mailboxes. Awesome job Deputy Robert Hill!”
