WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A missing 16-year-old boy who vanished Sunday in Woodbridge has been found safe.

Prince William County Police officials posted on Facebook late Friday that Daniel Wesley York was “located and safely returned to his family.”

Officials said York left his home in the 12600 block of Monarch Court on Nov. 29 between 9:30 p.m. and 10:13 p.m.

York is described by police as a white male, six feet four inches tall and weighing 140 pounds. He has brown hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing a red t-shirt with a black jacket, tan pants and black shoes.

Police think York left home voluntarily and was carrying a blue hiking backpack with a sleeping bag.
