PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. — A group of fishermen was called into action after someone jumped from the Benjamin Harrison Bridge Tuesday morning. The fishermen were asked to use their fishing boat to go find the man in the water, WTVR CBS 6 senior reporter Wayne Covil said. The volunteers were able to find the person.
“The subject was located a short time later and removed from the water,” Prince George County Police Department Sgt. Nicholas Wilder said. “The subject’s name and medical condition are being withheld until the family can be notified.”
Police were called to the bridge at about 8:16 a.m. Tuesday. This is a developing story. Anyone with additional information can submit a news tip here.
