SPOTSYLVANIA, Va. -- A former Girl Scout leader caught with child pornography and trying to seduce a minor, will spend the next four years in prison.
Chad Miller will serve four years in prison for soliciting sex from a child and possession of child pornography, according to the Free-Lance Star.
In March, deputies said their investigation into Miller began after he allegedly sent a 14-year-old girl a link to a pornographic website. Investigators also said Miller was a Girl Scout leader and family friend of the victim.
Investigators said they discovered cell phones and computers in the man's home that contained several hundred child porn images.
The Free-Lance Star is reporting the girl's parents left her in Miller's care during a family emergency and that's when he tried to seduce her. They said the victim told police Miller turned the lights off and whispered sexual fantasies to her, and she later made two suicide attempts.
As part of a plea agreement, Miller was sentenced to 20 years in prison, with all but four years suspended.
