RICHMOND, Va. — In 2012 Target opened at 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day proper, a few hours earlier than they would open for Black Friday. Since then it has become a tradition, with more and more retailers opening on Thanksgiving to start the holiday sales push.

Below are a list of locations in Richmond that will not be open:

- Barnes & Noble
- Bed Bath & Beyond

- Petco
- Sam’s Club
