Suspect in Hanover business robbery caught 800 miles away

HANOVER COUNTY, Va -- Hanover investigators announced an arrest after the Friday robbery of a business on Mechanicsville Turnpike.

Hanover County Sheriff's Office said Kenny Jimenez, 28, was arrested Saturday. He was caught in Tampa, Florida, where he's from.

Deputies were called to Advance America in the 6400 block of Mechanicsville Turnpike on Friday morning just before 10. A man had walked in, showed a gun and demanded cash. After receiving it, he took an employee's car keys and fled in the worker's car.

Jimenez is facing two counts of robbery, two counts of using a firearm, and four counts of grand larceny.
