RICHMOND, Va. — Jairo David who likes to be called by his middle name, David is an energetic and curious six year old boy who loves to play outside. He also enjoys riding his bike and playing with Legos. He is friendly, empathetic, sweet, and likable. David is also intelligent, persistent, and patient. When he knows what he wants, he will work until he gets it.

David enjoys adult attention and being with others. David responds well to positive encouragement and is eager to receive praise. He does best with structure and clearly defined expectations. He is capable of many self-care activities such as washing, dressing, oral care, and toileting. His first language is Spanish, though he is fluent in English. He is currently in Kindergarten.

In Virginia, we have over 860 children who are ready for foster to adoption. In other words, these children are ready to find their permanent and loving forever families. As Connecting Hearts -The Deborah J Johnston Foundation celebrates National Adoption Month, our “30 Kids in 30 Days” initiative is to bring awareness to 30 kids who are available for forever homes, but also to shed light on the other 830 children who may not be seen. Our kids are all ages and races, they were put in foster care due to no fault of their own.
