RICHMOND, Va. — Cayleigh, 8, is a very active young lady who does not like to sit still. She likes to be busy all the time. She likes to play outside. She also likes to play with her older sister.  She is very proud of the fact that she was chosen to play the role of Mary in the Christmas play at her church. She was worried that she wouldn’t be able to sit still and be quiet for so long but when she found that she could do it she was very proud of herself. She is a little ball of energy. She is a good helper. She enjoys coloring and playing with her toys.

Angelina, 17, is a very fun and exciting young lady. She is full of life, love, and energy. She is quick to laugh. Angelina can be a typical teenage girl with lots of ups and downs. She enjoys spending time as a family and going on family outings. She is very bright and has made honor roll in school for the year. She takes pride in the fact that she is able to maintain good grades, an improvement over previous years. Angelina enjoys helping out around the house and has recently begun to learn how to cook meals for the family. Angelina has flourished and is proud of the person she had become.

In Virginia, we have over 860 children who are ready for foster to adoption. In other words, these children are ready to find their permanent and loving forever families. As Connecting Hearts -The Deborah J Johnston Foundation celebrates National Adoption Month, our “30 Kids in 30 Days” initiative is to bring awareness to 30 kids who are available for forever homes, but also to shed light on the other 830 children who may not be seen. Our kids are all ages and races, they were put in foster care due to no fault of their own.
