RICHMOND, Va. -- Two people were robbed at gunpoint near the VCU Monroe Park campus Tuesday night. The university issued a campus-wide alert following the crime which was reported at about 11 p.m.
The victims were robbed along the 800 block of West Marshall Street, near Goshen Street. Officers said they took some suspects into custody, however the investigation remained on-going.
No injuries were reported in association with this crime. It is unclear whether the victims were VCU students. Anyone with any information about the armed robbery shooting was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 804-780-1000.
