RICHMOND. Va. — Jonathan is a 15-year-old boy who would like a family to love him just the way he is. Jonathan, who is bi-racial – enjoys staying active and is not the type of teenager who will stay inside all day playing video games (although he does enjoy them). While he loves playing football, baseball and basketball, he also enjoys going to movies, arcades and going out to eat.

Jonathan needs a family who will be patient with him and help him learn to stop and think before reacting, as with most teenager! This teenager is ready for the stability and security that only a forever family can provide. He says that he wants a family to accept him as he is and would very much like brothers and sister and some pets, he hopes.

In Virginia, we have over 860 children who are ready for foster to adoption. In other words, these children are ready to find their permanent and loving forever families. As Connecting Hearts -The Deborah J Johnston Foundation celebrates National Adoption Month, our “30 Kids in 30 Days” initiative is to bring awareness to 30 kids who are available for forever homes, but also to shed light on the other 830 children who may not be seen. Our kids are all ages and races, they were put in foster care due to no fault of their own.
