Police said the man was shot before the crash. In this case homicide means that the victim died by someone else’s hand.  It does not mean that the incident itself is a homicide but that someone else contributed to the death of said person.

The cause of death was determined to be from gunshot wounds to the left arm. Huff’s remains have been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Richmond for autopsy.

If you have information about this incident that could help investigators, call Virginia State Police at 804-553-3445.
