RICHMOND, Va. – There was a heavy police presence in downtown Richmond after a bomb threat at a popular hotel Sunday evening.
Video posted around 5:30 p.m. on Instagram shows Broad Street blocked off between Marshall and 5th streets.
Police told WTVR CBS 6 crews on the scene that a bomb threat was called in to the Richmond Marriott Sunday afternoon.
As a result, bomb-sniffing dogs were called in and the hotel was swept. However, officials said nothing suspicious was found.
As of 6 p.m., the all-clear had been given and police were clearing the scene.
