DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. — Police have identified the man killed in a single-vehicle crash along Route 1 in Dinwiddie Thursday evening.
Police identify the driver as Parker Bullock, 68 of Dinwiddie County. He died at the scene; he was wearing a seatbelt.
Sgt. Vick with Virginia State Police said the wreck happened in the 9400 block of Boytdon Plank Road after the driver ran off the road and overturned in a field.
The troopers investigation revealed that a 2002 Infiniti G20 was traveling north on Route 1 in the left lane when it ran off the road to the right striking a gate, overturning two to three times striking a tree and coming to rest in a field.
Speed and alcohol are not considered factors in the crash.
