RICHMOND, Va. — Police who used a robot to investigate a suspicious bag found Friday evening near a synagogue in Richmond have given the all-clear.
Officers said the bag was found under some storm drain grating on the side of the street near Temple Beth-El on Grove Avenue and Roseneath Road around 5:15 p.m.
Just before 7:15 p.m., police determined that the bag was not a threat. Officials described it as a gym bag with clothes inside.
