Lost grandma rescued from flipped car found in Henrico woods

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- Police used a cell phone signal to find and rescue a grandmother lost in the Henrico woods. The woman's family called police when they lost track of the 76-year-old woman's car as she drove behind her family late Monday night.

After she was missing two or three hours, when police were able to ping the woman's cell phone. The ping brought Virginia State Police, Henrico Police and Hanover Sheriff's Deputies to a wooded area off Interstate 295 near Creighton Road.

There they found the woman's car flipped on its side. The woman was not seriously injured and was able to walk to the ambulance. The woman was taken to VCU Medical Center as a precaution.
