RICHMOND, Va. — About 1600 people in Richmond were briefly without power after a vehicle struck a pole on Jefferson Davis Highway Sunday afternoon.
The single-vehicle accident happened around 1 p.m. near Maury Street. According to Richmond police, nobody was badly hurt in the crash. The driver refused medical help and was not transported to a hospital. A spokesperson for Dominion Power said crews were able to restore power to almost all residents within 40 minutes of the outage.
It’s unclear at this time if the driver will be facing charges.
