HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — Henrico County held a town hall meeting Monday night where they addressed public safety.

Officers spoke with the community about how their new body cameras work and how they were trained to use them.

That training includes addressing explicit and implicit biases that could affect the way they do their jobs. Henrico police said they are focused on transparency.

People who came out were encouraged to sign up for the Henrico emergency notification system. This is a new alert system designed to keep residents and others informed about countywide emergencies.
