RICHMOND, Va -- It seems intuitive that what you post on social media can say a lot about you. A new study suggests, though, that it may even say how much you make.

Computer scientists at the University of Pennsylvania looked at ten million tweets posted by more than five thousand people. They found people who make more money are more likely to express fear and anger in their tweets.

Optimists, on the other hand, were more likely to make less money.

The researchers also said people who make less money often use the social network to chat, while people who make more money use it for work to a greater extent than using it personally.

Scientists also said the tweets were a good indicator of the gender and age of a user.
