2nd Street Festival cancelled, concert moved to The Hippodrome

RICHMOND, Va. — Due to potentially dangerous weather moving into Virginia, the 2nd Street Festival in Jackson Ward has been cancelled.

Venture Richmond will offer a FREE concert at 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, at The Hippodrome, featuring Con Funk Shun. Con Funk Shun was scheduled to headline the Saturday music offerings at the Festival. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. and entry will be first come, first served.

The unveiling ceremony for the state historical marker honoring the Miller/Eggleston Hotel, scheduled for Friday at 5 p.m., is also cancelled.
