RICHMOND, Va. – McDonald’s is offering a free breakfast to students who are accompanied by an adult, on Friday, Sept. 18.

The offer is available from 6 -9 a.m. on Friday, at all Greater Richmond area McDonald’s locations.

Kids in ninth grade and above, as well as adults, aren’t in luck. For you, there is no such thing as a free breakfast.

This offer is good only for students in grades kindergarten through eighth grade.

The free breakfast will include the Egg McMuffin, apple Slices and choice of milk or apple juice.

The offer is available only inside McDonald’s, not in the drive-thru. An adult must be present with the student.

“Research shows that breakfast not only plays an important role in a healthy body weight, but can help children keep focused in class,” said Jade Mineo, a Registered Dietitian. “McDonald’s has broadened their menu to provide breakfast items which include; whole grains, egg whites, fruit, yogurt, and low fat dairy options.”
