CASHIERS, Nc. — A North Carolina girl raised more than $40,000 through a lemonade stand over the summer.
Not only did Chloe Crawford achieve this feat; she gave it all to her school.
Chloe and about 40 friends took turns watching the stand and selling the lemonade. Sometimes they sat outside for eight hours a day. Chloe charged $1 a cup, but she was also able to rack in donations from customers.
Chloe donated $44,567 to the Summit Charter School.
In addition to that, the grandmother of a student attending the check ceremony decided to match the money for a total of $88,000.
In the spirit of giving, another woman took the total to $100,000 for the school.
