24-year-old Richmond man dies from stab wounds in possible home invasion

RICHMOND, Va. --The Richmond Police Department has identified the person fatally injured on Third Avenue on Labor Day as Joseph L. Terry, 24, of the 1100 block of St. Paul Street.

At approximately 10:04 a.m., officers were called to the 2200 block of Third Avenue for a report of a person down. At that location, they discovered two males injured outside a residence.

Terry was transported to a local hospital with a stab wound that was considered life threatening. He died at the hospital.

The Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death.

Police are not looking for a suspect at this time.
