RICHMOND, Va. -- Bikers of all ages geared up with lights on their bikes for the seventh annual Anthem Moonlight Ride Saturday night.

The ride through Monument Avenue and Bryan Park was the bikers’ choice of a full moon 15-mile ride or a half moon eight-mile course.

“We love it. It’s family friendly, it’s a nice community event, beautiful weather,” said Susan Taylor. “And it’s not often you get a chance to ride the streets without any cars."

Some riders donned their tackiest costumes in support of the UCI Road World Championships, which wll be held in the River City in September.

And CBS 6 senior reporter Wayne Covil was representing the South’s First Television Station riding at the event.
