RICHMOND: The KL Scholarship Foundation handed out 31 Thousand Dollars to 30 students during a ceremony at Linwood Holton Elementary School during it's annual Book Scholarship Award Ceremony. Each student honored on Saturday (8/8/15) were graduated high school seniors or college students attending a 4-year state school and maintained a 3.0 GPA.

The KLM Foundation raised the money through their Black and White Gala back in April 2015. The primary purpose of the organization is to raise funds and distribute book scholarship awards. The scholarships are academic-based and target college students faced with financial obstacles. The Founder, Kimberley L. Martin, started this foundation because of her tremendous desire to support anyone seeking a quality education.
