RICHMOND, Va -- Drivers going through a Richmond neighborhood may run into a new traffic pattern as a new roundabout opens.

The new roundabout is at the intersection of 25th street and Nine Mile Road on the city's East End. The roundabout was unveiled during National Night Out festivities Tuesday night.

The project is part of a city effort to improve the neighborhood. It replaces traffic lights that previously controlled traffic through the intersection.

The project cost $1.1 million.
