SUSSEX COUNTY, Va. -- The Sussex County Sheriff’s office is investigating a double shooting at a club at 24197 South Halifax Rd. The shootings occurred August 2 around 2:30 a.m. at Club Empire in Sussex. Sheriff investigators said there were several fights inside the club and it escalated outside, where more than one gun was fired.
Investigators said two victims were shot multiple times and were taken by medical helicopter to a local hospital. One victim has life threatening injuries and the other has non-life threatening injuries.
Police are unsure of how many shooters are involved, but they are seeking the suspect seen in the photos below holding a handgun.
