CAROLINE COUNTY, Va -- While Caroline County Sheriff's investigators try to find the man who attacked a woman at a gas pump Wednesday morning, the woman has come forward to share her story of survival.

The 60-year-old woman said she was headed to work when she stopped to pump gas at the Exxon on Rogers Clark Boulevard in Ruther Glen. Things took an unexpected turn when she dropped her debit card in between her seat and her console. She said her life changed in a matter of seconds.

"I was bending over to get my card out from under my seat, and then bam there he was right behind me. That was the scariest thing I've ever had happen."

The woman said all the man would say was, "get in."

She said she fought with everything she had and had a message for other women.

"I would just ask all women if they're ever attacked in that way, make all the noise you can and just fight with all you got because if he gets you in that car I don't think you're going to come back," the woman said.

The sheriff's office said minutes before the attack, the man was caught on surveillance video trying to buy a single condom inside the store.
