BRUNSWICK COUNTY, Va. — Officials said the 69-year-old man who disappeared Thursday afternoon has been found safe.
Brunswick County Sheriff Brian Roberts said 69-year-old Eddie Lee Pace of Reavis Gin Road in Brunswick County was reported missing by his daughter just before 1:10 p.m.
Pace, who is diagnosed with bipolar disorder, is described as a black male around six feet two inches tall and weighing 240 pounds.
Neighbors said they spotted Pace in the 1500 block of Travis Drive in Lawrenceville around 11:30 a.m.
“We just found him,” Roberts wrote in an email around 8:20 p.m. “He is being checked by medical as we speak. ”
Three tracking dogs were used in the search.
Pace is the third person who has disappeared in Brunswick County over past few weeks.
Earlier this week, the body of 57-year-old David Wayne Clarywas found in the woods near his Brunswick County home. Clary was last seen at his residence on Vineland Road at about 9 p.m. Monday.
Two weeks ago, 79-year-old Francis Cleaton, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, was found safe in the woods less than a mile from his family’s home Sunday afternoon. He had been missing since Saturday morning.
