CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- More than two dozens reports of BBs or pellets causing damage are now under investigation in Chesterfield County, according to police. Countywide, at least 26 incidents have been reported. Some involve drivers who have had their windows shattered, police said. Many of those incidents were reported on Genito Road.
Tow truck driver Kenny Farmer said it happened to him while he drove along Genito on Father’s Day.
"The pellet took out my back driver’s-side window," he recalled. "Police said there have been about six or seven incidents like this on Genito Road in the last day or so."
Farmer said he saw a flash and then his window shattered. He said he was pretty sure the shot was fired from a dark-color 4-door sedan.
Police continue to investigate the shooting and asked anyone with information call Crime Solvers at 804-748–0660. If you have information you would like to share about this story, submit a news tip here.
