RICHMOND, Va. — A Richmond teen’s photograph has been selected by National Geographic Kids to be displayed at Vice President Joe Biden’s residence. Fifteen-year-old Jordana Collins’ photo of swings caught the attention of National Geographic Kids, the My Shot photo community, and the Bidens.

“I am so impressed by the incredible talent and professionalism of these kid photographers, and I look forward to sharing their work with our family, friends and all those who visit the Vice President’s Residence,” Dr. Jill Biden said of the photographers.

The caption from Jordana’s photo read:

The best kind of friend, is the kind you can sit on a porch swing with, never say a word, then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you ever had.

This collaboration will celebrate young photographers from across the country by exhibiting their work at the Vice President’s Residence in Washington, D.C.

“The Bidens have always displayed rotating art in the residence for guests to enjoy, and this new project will showcase the work of budding photographers like Jordana,” National Geographic said in a press release.

Jordana’s photo will remain on display at the Vice President’s residence through the end of July.
