Help police find this man wanted for spending counterfeit $100 bills

HOPEWELL, Va. — A man accused of passing counterfeit $100 bills is now on a photo being passed around by Hopewell Police. Police were called to a businesses along the 3900 Block of Oaklawn Boulevard Friday and 2300 Block of Oaklawn Boulevard Saturday to investigate the fake cash.

“The offender is described as a white male with a large build, with a full beard and mustache, wearing a faded red Sun Visor hat,” police said.

The man, described to be between 45 and 55 years old. wore a tan shirt and khaki shorts.

“The department is requesting that any person(s) who may have been traveling in and around the area of this incident and observed any suspicious person(s) or vehicle(s) contact the Hopewell Investigations Division at (804) 541-2286,” police said. “Additionally, any person(s) who have information on this or any other crime occurring in the City of Hopewell may contact the Hopewell/Prince George Crime Solvers at 541-2202.”
