RICHMOND, Va. -- Although last week started off hot, we had a few cool and wet days for the middle and end of the week. Sunshine and warm temperatures returned to the area on Saturday.
A cold front passed through the state Saturday evening, which will cause highs for Sunday afternoon to be a few degrees lower. Highs will range from the mid 70s near the coast to the upper 70s/lower 80s inland. Humidity levels will also drop a bit during the day.
A warm front will pass through Monday morning, and this will allow heat and humidity to surge back into the area for the week ahead. There may be a few subtle changes day-to-day, but the overall feel this week will be very humid.
An approaching cold front will cause a few scattered storms on Monday, but there will be a better chance for storms on Tuesday. Due to the high humidity, heavy rainfall will occur, and isolated storms may produce strong wind gusts. A few more storms will be possible later in the week.
