RICHMOND, Va. -- Temperatures will average in the upper 80s with a few thermometers potentially touching 90° Tuesday afternoon. This trend will continue for the rest of the week due to a ridge of high pressure parked over the Atlantic. It will pump southwesterly winds into the region through much of the week.
A few scattered storms are possible across the I-81 corridor Tuesday, but those storms will likely stay well west of Richmond. Storm chances for RVA will increase Wednesday, with scattered storms becoming a bit more commonplace later in the week.
