NEW YORK — Combine the innocence of a childhood snack with the marketing genius of Starbucks and you get the S’Mores Frappuccino. The specialty drink will hit stores on April 28, along with another new flavor, the Mocha Coconut Frappuccino. Bottles of the two specialty flavors have been for sale in some grocery stores since last month.
Starbucks, the world’s biggest seller of high-priced and high-calorie caffeinated beverages will only be available for a limited time. The chain declined to say how many calories the new Frappuccino flavors will have.
For the record, a Venti Double Chocolaty Chip Creme Frappuccino has 540 calories along with 23 grams of fat and 60 mg of cholesterol. That’s more calories than in two 20-ounce bottles of Coke or Pepsi.
