RICHMOND, Va. -- Four-legged veterans were honored Saturday for their hard work on and off the battlefield.
Military, police and service dogs were all honored with a patriot ceremony and demonstrations.
The War Memorial says these animals work side-by-side with their human companions on the battlefield and here at home.
The dogs assist law enforcement, perform search and rescue missions, and even give companionship to our nation's wounded warriors.
