Dance For A Cause – in celebration of National Single Parents’ Day, if you love to dance, Purpose Bound Parents invites you to Dance For A Cause Thursday, March 19, 7pm -11pm at The Pearl Raw Bar, 2229 West Main Street. The event features Line Dance Instructor Kemel Patton, Latin Dance Instructor David Prado and Chicago Style Hand Dance Instructor Carolyn Bohannon. The goal is to raise $20,000 this year to purchase laptop computers for 100 single parent students who are enrolled in college. Single tickets $25, couple tickets $40. Virginia State Parks Campgrounds are now opened for the camping season. Virginia State Parks offers more than 1,800 campsites, ranging from primitive camping to RV sites with electric and water hookups. New this year, site-specific reservations are available for some sites in six campgrounds. Campsites are normally available on a first-come basis.
