DALLAS, Tx. -- A 14-year-old girl has been charged with capital murder after a two-month-old baby, named Justice, was found dead inside a Dallas home.

"Justice Hall was intentionally drowned by a black female, 14, who resides in the same home," explained Maj. Robert Sherwin.

"The suspects' mother, who was caring for the infant, had just left for work."

Police are awaiting an official cause of death from the Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office.

Neighbors at the Rosemont at Hickory Trace Apartments in the 8400 block of Westmoreland Road say they can't believe either of the teen girls could have done something so dreadful. "I know the twins, the 14-year-old girls. They say one of them did it and I know them…. I don't want to put nothing past them, but I know they didn't do it!," said neighbor, Austin Hardy.

Right now, cops say both girls were in the apartment with the baby; one is now a witness, the other was led away in handcuffs. "The facts of the case are that the 14-year-old intentionally drowned a two month old infant girl," added Sherwin.

The tragedy has left one family inconsolable. "Nuh uh I can't get her! I can't get her!" screamed one family member as she held up one relative who was taken to a nearby hospital.

There are currently more questions than answers; all we know is one child is dead, one charged with capital murder, and the only witness may be forced to testify against her twin sister, reported KDAF.
