HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- An 18-year-old from Henrico is accused of possessing child pornography.
Police said Ryan Christopher Updike, who was arrested Friday, is facing a felony charge of possessing obscene material with a minor and using a computer to commit sex crimes with a minor.
People who live near Updike they were surprised to hear about his arrest because it is such a quiet neighborhood.
"I couldn’t' believe that someone in this neighborhood would be arrested for anything on this street," said Terry Mosci, who lives near Updike.
Police are not releasing the age of the victim, but did say the alleged offense happened in October.
Updike is scheduled to appear in court in February.
