HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- A suspected robber was arrested after police said he sped through a school zone and passed a stopped school bus.

According to Henrico County Police, 28-year-old Iquan Khier Williams was going 48 miles per hour in the 25 mile per hour school zone around Fairfield Elementary School. When police tried to pull him over, they say he drove off.

As police pursued him, they say he passed a stopped school bus, and eventually hit a ditch. That's when he ran off.

Police were able to catch up with Williams, and arrested him. They then found that the car was stolen and that there was an outstanding warrant for Williams for petit larceny.

Police also found evidence from the robbery of a Shell gas station in the 1100 block of East Nine Mile Road that happened on Wednesday. They were also able to link him to another robbery--one of an Exxon gas station on Williamsburg Road, which happened in November.

Williams now faces charges of robbery, grand larceny, possession of stolen property, reckless driving, eluding police, driving with a suspended license, resisting arrest, and hit and run.
