MIAMI -- A 4-year-old boy was in critical condition at a Florida hospital after an incident onboard a cruise ship this weekend.
WFOR reports that Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue rushed the child, who nearly drowned aboard the cruise ship Oasis of the Seas, to Broward Health Medical Center Saturday night.
The ship was out at sea when the emergency happened and returned to Port Everglades to get the boy life-saving medical care.
Authorities said the boy was in a wave pool on the 15th deck of the ship and somehow was swept under and was underwater anywhere from 5-10 minutes.
The investigation was completed late Saturday and the ship was allowed to set sail just before 11 p.m.
