RICHMOND, Va. -- A big water main break has closed a block of East Broad Street and impacted some customers.
Currently Broad St. from 16th to 17th Streets are closed. About 60 customers are impacted and police are on scene.
The Department of Public Utilities anticipates the water main break will disrupt traffic and service for awhile.
"Won't know how bad water break is until later tonight. We'll be digging on NYE!" they tweeted.
The Richmond Police Department tweeted: "Avoid - or grab ice skates for later."
If you're headed downtown tonight, you may need to take an alternate route.
