GOIANA, Brazil — Video of a loyal dog chasing down an ambulance that took away his owner has gone viral after it was posted on YouTube this week.
The dog’s owner suffered a seizure and was being transported to a hospital in Brazil when a paramedic noticed the dog giving chase.
“I’ve been doing this job for 19 years and I’ve never seen anything like it,” paramedic Celiomar Ferreira do Couto Mr Couto told the Mirror. “Sometimes we arrive at the scene of an emergency and there are pets around but they are too shy for us to get close to and they often run away. I have never seen this reaction in all my career.”
Eventually, the paramedics let the dog into the ambulance. Once at the hospital, the dog waited by his owner’s side.
