RICHMOND, Va. -- A child told CBS 6 reporter Jon Burkett that the brakes failed in her mother's car moments before the car slammed into a south Richmond dentist office. The crash happened at about 8 a.m. Friday.

Security camera video of the crash showed the car enter the parking lot  at 4712 Jefferson Davis Highway and not slow down as the driver turned into a parking spot.

While there appears to be a lot of structure damage to the front bathroom area of the building, no serious injuries were reported.

The building inspector is on scene to determine if portions of the building are safe to reopen.

There were five people inside the office when the car hit the building. In addition to a mother and child patient, there were three employees.

One of the workers said the patient, an eight-year-old boy, was crying and traumatized by the crash.

No charges have been filed in this crash.
