HENRICO COUNTY, Va. – An area high school student helped distribute toys at the Cops and Kids event in Henrico County Sunday.

Ethan Cruikshank, who attends Maggie walker, was named one of six community action heroes in the country by Hasbro toys for his outstanding community service.

In fact, Ethan organized an after school program to provide music lessons for elementary school-aged children.

This holiday season Ethan is helping hand out hundreds of toys to children in need.

"It's absolutely fantastic. I love seeing the smiles on their faces as they get their first toy of the day,” Cruikshank said. “I've worked with a lot of kids through my community service work."

Ethan said he has several more events lined up to hand out toys.
