CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Employees of Hy-Tech Property Services and dozens of volunteers helped spread holiday cheer by putting together 200 bikes for area children over the weekend.

The bikes are headed to the Amelia Christmas Mother this week where they'll be delivered to the families of a special boy or girl on Dec. 12.

This is the fifth year the company has taken part in the Christmas train event.

"Different people have come up and sent me text messages and emails of their children getting bikes on Christmas morning,” said Marc Chimento with Hy-Tech Property Services. “It's such a wonderful feeling and sight to see them getting it."

The Chesterfield company donated more than $9,000 to buy the bikes.

Outside donations were low this year, so Hy-Tech is still accepting monetary donations.
